1860 Wine Country Cottages – Terms and Conditions

Deposit and Refund Policy:

A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking.  The balance of payment is due 30 days prior to the booking date.  If final payment is not made 30 days prior to the booking date we have the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re-let the cottage/s.  Cancellation prior to 30 days before the booking will incur a $50 administration fee and the remainder of the deposit will be refunded.  Cancellation within 30 days of booking will forfeit all moneys paid unless we are able to rebook the cottage/s for the entire period.   When you decide to book the deposit is payable by either Visa or MasterCard or we will advise you of our bank account details for EFT.  A booking is not confirmed until the deposit is paid and the guest’s details form completed.  Payment of the deposit constitutes the guest’s acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

We do not require a bond, however, on arrival you will be required to produce a credit card to be recorded for security purposes.  It will be used to pay for any additional costs incurred, including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared, ie Any breach of these conditions.

Use of Our Facilities:

Check in after 2pm – Check out before 10.30 am (unless prior arrangements have been made).

We’ve created 1860 Wine Country Cottages over a 2 year period, 2009-2011, as premium bed and breakfast accommodation for the use and enjoyment of paying guests.

We expect and require our guests to respect our facilities which are part of our home.

Accordingly, in common with the Holiday Rental Code of Conduct the following conditions apply for use of our facilities:

1. Use by Paying Guests Only

Our facilities are for the use and enjoyment of paying guests only. We do not allow pets.

If you wish to invite another person/s to visit you during your stay you need to make arrangements to do so with us as we incur additional costs (both directly and through wear and tear) if additional people use the Cottage facilities and grounds. 

Our facilities are not to be used as a venue to get ready for a wedding or event involving attendance by people who are not paying guests. 

The advertised rate is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly the advertised rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, utility usage, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Parties and functions are strictly prohibited.

We hold approvals and insurances which allow us to accommodate a maximum number of 10 people – 4 in Sunset  Cottage & The Stables, 2 in Dawn Cottage. It is a condition of booking that the numbers of people booked are not exceeded. Children under 16 yrs are not permitted.  Children 16 yrs and over are counted as a person.

2. Take Reasonable Care

All care is to be taken when using anything in the Cottage and while in the grounds. Important Safety and Emergency Information is provided in the Cottage. It is a condition of booking that all guests read and understand the important safety information that is provided and to take all reasonable care during their stay.   Repair costs of accidental or willful damage will be charged against the credit card given as security.

3. Respect for the Facilities and Other Guests

The Cottages and grounds are part of our home. We would appreciate it if you respect them as if they were your own. Also respect the privacy of other guests and their enjoyment of the property by keeping noise in the grounds to a minimum.   Our Cottages are non smoking.

4. Clean and Tidy Condition

The Cottage is to be left in a clean and tidy condition as you found it. Place all rubbish in the bins provided, wipe kitchen surfaces with the cloth provided, and either use the dishwasher provided to clean your dishes and glasses or hand wash them in the sink with the cleaning detergent provided. Grounds are  to be left tidy and free of rubbish/cigarettes/bottles and the like.  All additional cleaning will be charged at $40/hour against the credit card given as security.

ANY BREACH OF THESE CONDITIONS MAY RESULT IN TERMINATION OF RENTAL
